FEAST Festivals’ Network Forum: Lostwithiel and Kresen Kernow

Applications for Penzance’s Mayor’s Young Artist 2024/25 are now open
This is an opportunity for a budding artist aged 15 -19 who lives, works or studies in the Penzance Parish area to become the Mayor’s Young Artist. The successful candidate will receive a £500 bursary which will include:
A one-to-one mentoring session with a professional artist
Art materials
Travel costs

Applications for CIL Fund Round 4 are now open
Constituted community groups and not for profit organisations can apply for between £20,000 and £100,000 to support local infrastructure projects that will have community benefit.

Deadline: 7th of April 2024. This is a full time, permanent role. The advertised salary is £44,499.
The National Trust are looking for a regional curator who will form part of a supportive curator community, made up of many different role types and specialisms based in the National Trust’s regional consultancies, in the Trust’s central teams, and on specific projects.
Development & Work Opportunity for Emerging Performers at The Story Republic
Location: Based at Redruth, working across Cornwall
Deadline: 8th of April 2024. This role is offered on a freelance basis, with performances beginning in June. The rate of pay advertised is £14.30 per hour.
The programme is aimed at emerging theatre performers aged 18+ who are interested in working in a variety of spaces from the street to galleries, castles to classrooms with a repertoire of songs, poems and short stories. You will need to be enthusiastic, at ease vocally and able to make yourself heard, keen to work in an ensemble and be a strong singer.
Director of Creative Communities at Creative Kernow
Location: Redruth
Deadline: 12th of April 2024. The role is full time and permanent. The advertised salary is £40,000-£43,000.
Creative Kernow are seeking a Director of Creative Communities to lead Creative Kernow’s strategy for community work, respond to new opportunities, manage the team and play a leadership role within Creative Kernow. The Director of Creative Communities is a senior leader within Creative Kernow. The post-holder is part of the Senior Management Team, reports to the Chief Executive and manages a team – currently six staff and temporary contractors.
Evaluator/Audience Researcher at Connect the Dots
Location: Home working
Deadline: 16th of April 2024. This is a freelance role, and the daily rate is £140-£280, dependent on experience.
Connect the Dots are interested in hearing from both people who are already experienced in evaluation and audience research, and those whose experience is primarily in the planning and delivery of programmes but may be looking to move into this area of work. Training/mentoring and support will be provided where needed.
