Cultural infrastructure maintenance assessment survey from DCMS
The cultural and heritage sectors make a vital contribution to the UK/England’s economic and social life. Yet their continued ability to do this depends on a vast number of architectural structures, including many major heritage buildings.
This research aims to:
estimate the value and scale of cultural infrastructure maintenance need
understand why this need exists and the drivers affecting the current state of cultural infrastructure, and
develop a methodology for assessing the impact of investment into improving cultural infrastructure

Cornwall Council is offering free climate change training to community and other groups about how to reduce their carbon impact.
This training can be the first step to engaging trustees, committee members, volunteers, and employees on why they should take action to address climate change – and what they can do.
The one-hour online introductory course supports organisations that want to learn more about:
The science behind climate change
How global warming will impact Cornwall
The role of government, local authorities, businesses and individuals in tackling the issue
Ideas on what action can be taken
You can use the session on its own or incorporate it into a longer meeting or event to take the information covered and begin shaping your ideas on what action to take.
If you, or an organisation you know of, might be interested, please ask them to email climatechange@cornwall.gov.uk.
