The Creative Census is now open!
The Creative Census is the most comprehensive annual research into the creative sector in Cornwall, the results will be used to inform future Creative Manifestos.It provides evidence of the importance of our rural creative economy. Everyone working in the Creative Industries is encouraged to take part in this survey.
This survey will close on the 12th of March 2024, at midday. Please complete it and share with your networks. Thanks to everyone who has completed it so far!
Funding Opportunities
Improving Pathways to Cornish Intangible Cultural Heritage Grants
Cornwall Council is offering grants of around £500–£1,000 to fund small scale projects. This is to improve engagement with Cornwall's distinct intangible cultural heritage. For organisations, groups or individuals not normally in receipt of significant grant funding.
Digital Accelerator Programme from Bloomberg Philanthropies is now open
The Digital Accelerator provides funding, expert technical assistance, and leadership development over two years to strengthen the digital infrastructure of nonprofit cultural organizations with the principal goals of growing revenue, increasing fundraising, engaging audiences, improving operations, and developing programming opportunities.
Cultural Development Fund from Arts Council England is now open
The aim of the Cultural Development Fund is to level up through investment in culture. The fund will unlock local growth and productivity, increase access to excellent creativity and culture, and regenerate communities. It will achieve this through capital investment in transformative place-based creative and cultural initiatives.
Museum Estate and Development Fund (MEND) from Arts Council England is now open
This is an open-access capital fund targeted at non-national Accredited museums and local authorities based in England to apply for funding to undertake vital infrastructure and urgent maintenance backlogs which are beyond the scope of day-to-day maintenance budgets.

Creative Kernow Finance Manager at Creative Kernow
Location: Redruth
Deadline: ASAP. The advertised salary is £36,000-£40,000, pro rata. This is a permanent role, and the role can be part time (0.8 FTE) or full time.
The post holder is responsible for the management of the finance function for the Creative Kernow group of companies including both internal and external reporting..
Creative Kernow Finance Officer at Creative Kernow
Location: Redruth
Deadline: ASAP. The advertised salary is £26,000, pro rata. This is a temporary role, for 6 months, and the role is full time.
Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, the Finance Officer is responsible for the operation of daily financial functions within the Group’s parent and subsidiary companies.
Videographer Internship at Helen Round
Location: Rame
Deadline: 10th of March 2024. This is a part time, freelance 3 month internship position for 15 hours per week (days and time are negotiable). Please note that the duration of this role is very flexible and could be a full time position over a shorter period of time. Starting rate of pay is £11.50 per hour.
The purpose of this role is to create a series of short product videos, studio shots to be used as supportive material on social media and the website.
Studio Assistant Intern at Helen Round
Location: Rame
Deadline: 10th of March 2024. This is a part time, freelance 3 month internship position for 15 hours per week (days and time are negotiable). Please note that the duration of this role is very flexible and could be a full time position over a shorter period of time. Starting rate of pay is £11.50 per hour.
The purpose of this role is to ensure the smooth running of our studio, ensuring orders are processed efficiently, makers have everything they need, when they need them, stock records are kept up to date and that the shop and studio are kept tidy and organised.
Evaluator at Sterts
Location: Liskeard
Deadline: 10th of March 2024. The fee available for this work is £8,800, inclusive of VAT, travel and expenses.
Sterts have secured funding for a reimagined covering for their theatre, and require a external evaluator for this capital project to explore the impact of the activity this new structure will enable.
