The Q Fund wants to improve diversity, excellence and creativity in Cornish literature. You can apply for Grants of between £50 to £500 towards local research work in literary or allied subjects. Grants are for:
research or production costs

Applications for Small Open Grants from Museum Development South West are now open
This scheme aims to support organisations to improve organisational resilience, collections development, inclusion and inequality and environmental responsibility. Grants of between £1000 and £10,000 are available.

Applications for the Creative Writing Award from Young and Talented Cornwall are now open
Award recipients will be mentored by an established Cornish writer to grow their writing skills and get first-hand advice to progress towards the career they yearn for. Recipients can also be granted up to £1,000 to be spent on moving their career forward, together with a reading award of £150 worth of books.
To be eligible for this fund you must be:
16 – 23 years old (your age will be taken into account when assessing applications)
A resident of Cornwall or the Isles of Scilly
A talented writer
Looking for mentoring and financial support to achieve your goals

Deadline: 15th of May 2024. This is a fixed term contract. The advertised salary is £29,592 - £36,655.
Kresen Kernow are recruiting for a professionally qualified archivist to work as part of the Archives and Cornish Studies team based at Kresen Kernow, the archive centre for Cornwall, in Redruth. The collection includes the usual range of local authority archives, dating from the 12th century to the present day, as well as an extensive Cornish studies library.
