A morning event all about the power of individuals and freelancers. The session will explore how we can make positive changes to the creative and cultural sector, particularly focusing on how freelancers can be more included in policy making.

Immersive Innovation Programme Call-Out
The aim of this programme is to build skills and networks in 360 production and other forms of immersive content, enabling those with project ideas to research, and develop them with support from mentors and their peers.
Celtic Media Festival: Call for Entries
Celebrating the best work from the Celtic nations and regions. 28 Torc awards will be presented at the Festival: 1 Gold Torc will be awarded to the Spirit of the Festival and 27 Torc Award for Excellence will be awarded to the 'Best Of' category awards. Awards will be held in Newquay, June 2025.

Location: Truro
Deadline: 13th of October 2024. This role is full time and permanent, and the advertised salary is £35,000-£40,000.
This is a crucial role at the heart of the Hall for Cornwall department whose mission is to engage and inspire young people and artists. They work at scale, across Cornwall, to captivate, stimulate and drive the creativity of the region forwards.
Sites Manager at Cornwall Heritage Trust
Location: Redruth
Deadline: 30th of October 2024. This is a part time position, at 21 hours per week. The role is offered on a fixed term basis, for two years. The advertised salary is £35,000, pro rata.
This new role will focus on the development of all of the properties owned or managed by Cornwall Heritage Trust. This will include formulation and implementation of a robust sites management strategy across the whole portfolio and progressing work already undertaken to create a sites acquisition strategy.
Heritage Activities Officer at Redruth Former Library CIC
Location: Redruth
Deadline: 31st of October 2024. This role is 0.6 FTE, on a fixed term contract from January 2024 to December 2024. The advertised salary is £32,000 pro rata.
Redruth Former Library CIC seeks to appoint a part-time Heritage Activities Officer to play a crucial role delivering heritage activities and engagement for The Ladder. The Heritage Activities Officer role is designed to deliver four strands of heritage activities investigating the heritage of the building and the surrounding areas.

Funding Opportunities
Communities Fund from Suez
Grants of between £3,000 and £50,000 are available for projects delivering capital improvements to public amenities, which can include historic buildings, structures or sites. To be eligible for a SUEZ Communities Fund grant in England, your project must be located within one of the active funding zones.

Cultural Facilities Fund from Biffa
Grants of between £10,000 and £75,000 are available for projects which aim to improve recreation, interest and education. The project could be based within a theatre, gallery, museum, concert hall, arts or heritage centre. Local communities should be able to enjoy, benefit and engage with collections, exhibits or performances taking place within such institutions as often as possible.
The fund is assessed on a rolling basis. You can read more about the fund here.
Community Chest Fund from Cornwall Council
Grants of between £200 and £1,000 are available from each councillor, for organisations who deliver a wide range activities and projects that enrich and engage local communities. Organisations must match fund a portion of the project through crowdfunding, and funding is only released when the crowdfunder goal has been reached.
