Applications for Cornwall Heritage Awards 2025 are now open!
Heritage organisations wishing to enter can find all the information here. The deadline for nominations is the 9th of December.
Nominations for the 2025 Winston Graham Historical Fiction Prize are now open!
To be considered, novels must have been published in the UK between September 2023 and October 2024, set at least sixty years ago in the UK and Ireland, and written by authors resident in the UK. You can read more about the prize here, the closing date for nominations is the 30th of November.
Paid Opportunities
Call Out: Creation of a gas brazier from Cornwall Heritage Trust
Location: Redruth
Deadline: 29th of November 2024. The available budget is £3,000 inclusive of all material costs, expenses and VAT. Cornwall Heritage Trust require completion of the object 1st of March 2025.
Cornwall Heritage Trust are commissioning brazier that will be used in a beacon lighting event at each of their sixteen sites over Spring 2025.
Funding Opportunities
Seed Bed from Literature Works
Seed Bed nurtures, connects and champions community projects that focus on environmental themes explored through literature. It’s part of Literature Works’ contribution to exploring and highlighting the climate and environmental crisis through an urgent, creative, and hopeful lens.

Boardmasters Foundation
Grant applications are now open from the Boardmasters Foundation, for individuals, groups, charities and organisations that work in Culture and Community. Cultural organisations that are involved with: surfing, music, creativity, education and/or Cornish culture, and community organisations that are in the immediate vicinity of the festival, or work to support diversity and inclusion.

Developing Your Creative Practice
Arts Council England’s Developing Your Creative Practice fund is now open. This fund grants between £2,000-£12,000 to individual creative or cultural practitioners for development related activities in Arts Council England’s supported disciplines.
Incentivising Touring Scheme
Arts Council England’s Incentivising Touring Scheme fund is now open. This is a repayable grant, able to fund up to £500,000 to organisations to invest in productions.
Trustee Opportunities
Cornwall Buildings Preservation Trust are seeking 6 new trustees.
They are especially interested in people who can offer one or more of the following:
Successful advocacy, networking and public relations experience within a local community context
Knowledge of potential new projects
Digital skills with an interest in website management and increasing the digital capabilities and outreach of the Trust
Fundraising experience
Financial management skills
Understanding of property law and/or community ownership companies
Experience of historic buildings research and analysis
Links to Higher Education establishments that offer heritage-related practical or professional skills training
