Theatre research
Charlotte Bister is conducting a research project looking at the deeper emotional and personal value theatre holds in your life. Charlotte is seeking participants who are interested in sharing your stories and thoughts about theatre. Participation involves a one-on-one interview, either in person or online.

Stage Writing Commission at The Writers Block
The Writers Block are looking for emerging writers of all ages and backgrounds who are passionate about storytelling and interested in writing a short play for the Minack Theatre and its Acting Academy for children and young people. The course will take place on the 30th July, 31st July, 1st August, and 5th August, from 10am-4pm. The deadline for applications is the 19th of June, and you can click here for more information.
Choreographic Residency and Performance Opportunity with Dance Centred
Between Monday 18th and Friday 22nd of August, participants will have the opportunity to work with dancer and choreographer Lois Taylor to create a dance piece inspired by the sea. The piece will then be performed at The Barn Theatre, Sterts on September 27th as a part of an evening of work. Participants will be paid £340. CreaTech Cornwall
CreaTech Cornwall is a dynamic new initiative designed to support the next wave of creative digital innovators in Cornwall. The programme delivers targeted incubation for early-stage individuals and start-ups working at the cutting edge of creativity and technology. CreaTech Cornwall gives you the tools, mentorship, seed funding, and momentum to move forward with confidence. Intermediate Spatial Audio Training from Real Immersive, at Liskeard Library, 7th and 8th of July, 10am-4pm
Over the course of 2 sessions, you'll work together with a cohort of individuals to collect, and record a library of sounds that can be used to create your own spatial soundscapes. This course is free to attend but requires a £30 refundable deposit, you can view more information here.
Funding Opportunities
Village Hall improvement grant from Action with Communities in Rural England
Grants up to £75,000 to support larger improvement projects to rural community buildings in England such as full refits and extensions. Grants are only available for halls in settlements that have a population of less than 10,000.

Town Regeneration and Investment Programme (TRIP)
The aim of TRIP is to regenerate towns and high streets across Cornwall. Grant funding between £2,500 - £500,000 is available for projects that can contribute to this aim and boost local business growth and productivity.
The programme is now accepting applications and will close on the 30th of June.
Creative Foundations Fund from Arts Council England
The aims of this investment are to:
increase the economic sustainability of cultural and creative organisations through improving existing cultural buildings and equipment
decrease the risk and financial impact of abandoned or cancelled performances, exhibitions, or events caused by equipment or infrastructure failure
grow audience engagement and access by underserved communities to high-quality creative work and cultural infrastructure.
The Heritage Revival Fund from the Architectural Heritage Fund
The Heritage Revival Fund has been created to help communities across England rescue and repurpose neglected historic buildings. This programme will focus on regenerating historic buildings in town centre locations. It will do this by supporting community organisations to take ownership of, adapt and reuse the local heritage assets that matter to them, transforming them into thriving spaces that meet their needs.

Creative Manager - Digital Graphics at Seasalt
Location: Falmouth
Deadline: 18th of June. The role is full time and permanent, and the advertised salary is £36,000-£38,000.
The post holder will be responsible for producing innovative, in-scope digital assets that are consistent across all channels and aligned with the brand’s creative vision. Within this collaborative role, the post holder will report to the Director of Creative Marketing and work closely with the Creative Manager – Print & Branding, to translate creative direction and briefs into seasonal campaigns and digital rollouts, while also working with Web Development, UX and Digital & Product Marketing to ensure seamless delivery.
Enterprise Projects Manager at Creative Kernow
Location: Redruth
Deadline: 30th of June 2025. This role is temporary, until 31st of March 2026, and part time, advertised as 0.6FTE. The advertised salary is £36,000 pro rata.
Creative Kernow are recruiting a new role to be part of their growing enterprise activities, with an initial focus on the management and delivery of their research and consultation contract with Cornwall Council, for the development of Local Plan 2030-2050.
Freelance Dance Practitioner at Dance Centred
Location: St Austell
Deadline: 27th of June 2025. This role is offered on a fixed term contract for two years, and the practitioner is needed in St Austell on Wednesdays from 10.30am-12.30pm, starting from the 1st of October. The advertised fee is £95 per session and £360 for 3 days of planning.
Move Together is a project run by Dance Centred CIC, providing free, weekly creative dance sessions for women affected by cancer. The project is open to women at any stage of their cancer journey whether recently diagnosed, undergoing treatment or in remission. Move Together has been running in Newquay for over 3 years and is now expanding to St Austell.
